Passenger Recovery is an RCO (Recovery Community Organization) that has existed in Hamtramck/Detroit since 2016. Our impetus was to help touring musicians & crew find support meetings while passing through but has grown to provide support to our local recovery community through events, advocacy, peer support and translation services, using the arts and music as a pathway to recovery for those struggling with substance use disorder. Much like those in the music industry, people in recovery come from all walks of life, with different struggles. And much like music, recovery can be a great connector, bringing people together to find common ground.
